New patients
We welcome new patients of all ages. Here is what to expect at your first visit and how to prepare.
Request an appointment
Call us or use the appointment request form. Tell us if anything is bothering you so we can allow the right amount of time.
Complete your details
We will send a short medical history form to complete before you arrive, or you can fill it in at reception a few minutes early.
Your first visit
A comprehensive examination, any necessary X-rays, and a clean if there is time. We talk through what we find and answer your questions.
Your plan
If any treatment is recommended you receive a written plan with itemised fees. There is no obligation and no pressure.
What to bring
- Your Medicare card (for children eligible under the CDBS)
- Your private health fund card if you have one
- A list of current medications
- Any recent dental X-rays or referral letters
Payment
- Payment is due on the day of treatment.
- We accept EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and cash.
- On-the-spot health fund claiming is available through HICAPS.
- Payment plans for larger treatments can be discussed with our practice manager.
Fees and health funds
Fees vary with the treatment required. We provide a written, itemised estimate before any treatment beyond your examination.
We are not affiliated with any particular health fund. Your rebate depends on your fund and level of cover, and we can provide item numbers for you to check before treatment.
Eligible children can be bulk billed under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Ask us to check eligibility.
Nervous about the dentist?
Many people feel anxious about dental visits. Let us know when you book. We can allow extra time, explain each step before it happens, and agree a signal for you to pause at any point. You are in control of your appointment.
