Emergency dental care

Dental emergencies include severe toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling, or bleeding that will not stop. Call us as early in the day as you can and we will do our best to see you the same day.

If a permanent tooth is knocked out, handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse briefly if dirty, and if possible place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Then call us immediately.

For after-hours emergencies involving facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or uncontrolled bleeding, go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
