Teeth whitening
Dentist-supervised whitening with custom trays, following an examination.
Professional whitening lightens the natural shade of your teeth using a dentist-supervised bleaching gel. We offer take-home whitening with custom-fitted trays, which gives you control over the pace of treatment.
Whitening is only suitable after a check-up, because it does not change the colour of fillings or crowns and can cause sensitivity in some people. Results vary between individuals and depend on the cause of discolouration, so we discuss realistic expectations with you first.
Common questions
Is whitening safe?
When supervised by a dentist after an examination, whitening is considered safe for most adults. Temporary sensitivity is the most common side effect. It is not recommended during pregnancy or for children.
This page is general information only and does not replace an examination. Suitability, risks and fees for any treatment are discussed with you in person before you decide. Individual results vary.
