Crowns and bridges
Custom-made restorations for heavily filled, cracked or missing teeth.
A crown covers and protects a tooth that is weakened by a large filling, a crack or root canal treatment. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the teeth on either side.
Crowns and bridges are custom made from porcelain, zirconia or metal alloys depending on the position of the tooth and your preferences. Treatment usually takes two visits a few weeks apart.
What a visit involves
Assessment, X-rays and discussion of materials and fees
Tooth preparation and a digital or physical impression; a temporary crown is fitted
Fitting and adjustment of the final restoration
This page is general information only and does not replace an examination. Suitability, risks and fees for any treatment are discussed with you in person before you decide. Individual results vary.
